Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Tom R — 06 Feb 2013
Sexier and more gadget-laden than any Bond before it. Some of the locations chosen for this film are stunning, particularly those in Egypt. Equally stunning, is Anya Amasova, the first badass Bond girl, who finally managed to break the sexist stereotypes of the older Bond films.
The stunts and special effects are also notable here, in addition to the unstoppable one-man killing machine that is Jaws. However, this film falls short on suspense and drama, with a predictable plot and mediocre soundtrack.
