Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Wesley D — 25 Mar 2013
The Spy Who Loved Me is probably the most well-liked of all of the Roger Moore James Bond films. I can't say that it's my favorite of the bunch though. It definitely has its merits, that's for sure, but there are aspects to it which I found kind of boring.
The last half an hour of the film, for example, takes place with very little involvement from our title character. He's there, but his lack of screen time makes him somewhat insignificant in the overall grand scheme of things.
The action is pretty good, but lacks our hero for most of it. The plotline involving two spies for once is a good one, and they do the best they can with it. Overall, it's an entertaining entry into the Bond franchise, but I can't outright call it one of my very favorites.
