Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Josh M — 08 Sep 2017
The most spectacular of the late Roger Moore's adventures as 007. The Spy Who Loved Me boasts some of the most exotic locales in the Bond series. Including: Cairo, Egypt/ the Austrian Alps/ and amazing Underwater settings.
Topped off with the megalomaniacal villain's top secret fortress at the bottom of the ocean. And speaking of which, this film's powerful bad guy roster is headed off with the intimidating and menacing henchmen Jaws.
Also featuring incredible action sequences and one of the best musical scores in the series. This movie is a pure 70's invention that is almost as good as the original Connery movies and easily as classic.
The Spy Who Loved Me is effortlessly one of the grandest, most thoroughly thought out entries in the Bond series. It is of no small wonder that it took 3 years to piece together, with how great it is.
