Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Hans M — 24 Nov 2008
The Spy Who Loved Me is a classic Roger Moore Bond film , with one Amazing stunt , and a nice Title Song by Carly Simon 'Nobody Does it Better'. Roger Moore is at his best. And the humor makes this one a light Bond yet still fascinating.
Unlike The Man With The Golden Gun , This Bond film was a big commercial success. But I still prefer The Man With The Golden Gun. The fact that Harry Saltzman the Producer of all previous Bond films did not work on this film gave it a different flavor.
And the fact that Albert Broccoli the other Producer had to produce this film without his longtime partner , gave it a new direction. Great film.
