Review of The Spy Who Came In from the Cold (1965) by Rod A — 07 Feb 2009
In comparison to this film, the James Bond series seem like a collection musical comedies. Le Carre aims to present the bleakness and futility of the cold war. Spies often change sides for reasons of expediency rather than patriotism.
Burton delivers a strong performance as a man who got in too deep.
