Review of The Spy Who Came In from the Cold (1965) by Tim R — 10 Jul 2014
Relased smack dab in the middle of the Sean Connery James Bond rage, this pitch black study of the last days of an aging spy sunk like a stone at the box office. In the last few years, it's had a (sort of) revival and people are starting to notice Ritt's stark direction and Burton's masterful perfomance.
It's a perfectly gloomy spy film that's not easily forgotten.
