Review of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) by Logan R — 26 Sep 2011

Awesome movie! Manages to successfully adapt everything that was great about the Hillenburg-era of Spongebob Squarepants onto the big screen. It knows it wants to be epic and action-packed but puts the humor and nature of the show as a higher priority.

The animation is REALLY amazing. The bright colors and timing on the characters really stand out against the cool-colored, painted backgrounds (which actually look really relaxing.) The movie has some surprisingly good drama and character development, you really sympathize with Spongebob and feel bad for him when things don't work out for him.

Yes, it's a silly movie but it's a badass silly movie. See it! You'll enjoy it. It doesn't matter if you like the show or not or an adult! You'll have a blast!
