I know Spongebob isn't one of those sensible movies and I did wanted to watch this to support my favorite voice actors and the show was kinda iconic for me in my grade school days buuuuuttt I wish the movie had more "meaning".
They could have done so much more to the story. The title is kind of a misnomer as well because Spongebob is hardly out of water for 80% of the movie. I was still laughing during the first few minutes but then it felt too trippy after a while.
You might need to be high to appreciate the latter part of the movie.
