How did I feel while watching Frank Miller's 'The Spirit'? Well imagine that someone gives you a present, wrapped in magnificent shiny red paper, and when you open it, it turns out to be a huge stinking turd. One star for the gorgeous cinematography by Bill Pope and Paz Vega's killer looks.
Seriously, if you're looking for an old 'vintage' hero, try the criminally underrated 'The Shadow', directed by Russell 'Highlander' Mulcahy. Seriously...
