The worst coming-of-age story I've ever watched. I do not know why the critics rated it 93%, unless they were all 16 - 18 years of age. This film lacks any depth of thought; except for the very end where he completes his application essay.
The story meanders without any strong points. The ending is ambivalent in a thoughtless way; and seems to remind the viewer this entire story is centered around him, without any care for those around him.
Many things he does and says makes no sense at all; and does not seem like anything a half-sane person would say. The most thoughtless, terrible film I've watched in a long while.
