Review of The Spanish Prisoner (1997) by Vicky V — 20 Jul 2007
Mamet films are a bit like watching poker on television. Some people just don't get it, other are enraptured. Smart dialogue and a wonderful performance by Martin. Very few people can play the menacing power elite without it coming across as an actor's studio put on (see Travolta, Cruise, Costner, Stone.
..)but he pulls it off with intelligence and ease.
