Review of The Spanish Prisoner (1997) by Gabriel Z — 03 Mar 2008
Another Mamet 'Russian Doll' of a plot, with much more to it than it originally appears. Performed with an eerie atmosphere throughout, epitomized by Rebecca Pidgeon's eccentric turn as an oddball who is clearly 'acting' the role in a deliberately wooden way and thus not at all what she seems.
