Review of The Spanish Prisoner (1997) by Michael F — 01 Jan 2011
David Mamet writes & directs this lush, languid mystery that's about a con but really about relationships. A well cast Campbell Scott does a fine job of portraying the lead character as Everyman with dreams of grandeur causing him to overlook important details (you will too).
Steve Martin (in an excellent, serious turn) adds outstanding punctuation notes to this slow, enjoyable ride that leaves you wanting more. 7/5/9.
