Let me begin by saying, I always get surprised when you have a cast, crew and the investment ready to work on films like these when there are so many flaws.

With a storyline base that could have been executed so well, there are moments that make us think: "Wait, what? Seriously?".

For beginners, this is not Sci fi by any means. It's directed to make it look as real as possible. If you add in a young not even 18 girl to steal more than 4 cars, 1 old school airplane and pull off more runaway tasks, I suddenly feel we are playing a Ubisoft game.

They could have shown them run off on her motorbike instead of the plane. Use 1 car throughout instead of 4.

Another problem is the casting. You have Gary Oldman who portrays the eventual father to be revealed for the Gardner. Flashback to the time he was giving the speech, he looked the like the father of Gardner's mother.

They could have casted someone who looks much younger and then gradually ages.

The film has too many wtf moments that just squeeze out a beautiful base story that can make us value real human qualities more than we usually do. But yet again, modern day cinema grows more and more lazy.
