Robert wise directed two of the best musicals of the 60s, a time when musicals were winding down at the major studios. The first was West Side Story and the second was this quite possibly the most successful of all R and H's musicals.
Love it or hate this has quality written all over it. To enjoy it fully see it on Blu Ray or better at a rescreening on the big screen.
