Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by Jeff S — 07 May 2011
A wonderful, sweet movie that sweeps you up very lightly and takes you along the story of The Vonn Trapp family. The cinematography and art direction are breathtaking, the acting is top notch and the soundtrack is wonderful.
The last Rogers and Hammerstein play, it still retains the lightheartedness that made all their plays so magical. Like a Disney movie, you're never in any real danger, but no one ever meant for you to be.
