Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by Hillary D — 07 Jun 2012
No matter what you want to say about The Sound of Music, you know that you know the songs and sing along when they come on. This movie was a staple of my childhood, and looking back, I'm astounded by how even though this movie is very sweet, it makes no apologies.
It stands up to the test of time and has genuinely touching, even powerful, moments. Props to Julie Andrews with one of the most beautiful voices ever heard on film.
