Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by Fredrik S — 25 Feb 2018

Haven't seen this since I was a kid. A bit meandering at times and so overtly sweet that you could get you a tooth ache just watching it. Stil, the music is simply great, the photo and the settings are beautiful and the upbeat feeling gets through to you after a while, as you actually get involved in the storyline.

I've caught myself humming some of the tunes on and off afterwards, and feeling good just thinking about various scenes in the film. Deserves it status as a classic of the genre, even though I'm not sure when I'll manage another three hours to watch it again .
