Review of The Sound of Music (1965) by Jonathan B — 02 May 2014

One of the best musical movies. it has a lot of great musical numbers that is great to listen to and memorable at that. Julie Andrews is fantastic as she was in Mary Poppins. The only grip I have with it is the third act of the film because, it doesn't become the sound of music anymore, it becomes the von Trapps trying to get away the Nazi's, it just felt like a different movie to me but, that doesn't take that the first two acts are really strong enough for me to look pass it flaw.

I recommend to people who are fans of musical movies, it is one of the better ones.
