Review of The Sons of Katie Elder (1965) by Ed A — 14 May 2009
This was an alright movie. The acting in it wasn't so great though... I know actors back then didn't have much to go by though. I'm not going to lie, I like John Wayne... but his character came off as rather corny (Not to mention his movements were very stiff/mechanical).
Dean Martin, Dennis Hopper (to an extent) and whoever played the coffin maker were pretty good as far as acting went. Other than that this is a nice western. The story was alright, kind of iffy at some points but held up.
