Review of The Song (2014) by Fiona B — 29 Mar 2015
A delicate story told with songs of love and sorrow. Slightly uneven acting by the lead Alan Powell and his strange beard prevents this movie from rising to really great heights. The structure built around the perils of temptation is excellent, but the relationship between the Jed King and his wife Rose drifted into a sooky 'woe is me' scenario and missed the opportunity to show how love can shatter yet save our lives for the better.
