Review of Labyrinth (2012) by Fiona B — 18 Jan 2012
David Bowie is the reason I keep coming back to this, and the reason I own it on VHS, DVD and blu-ray. That hair, those trousers... HD... mmmmmmm. Apart from that, this is a pretty bad film, and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen it through more than once; other than to skip to Bowie's next scene of course.
However, Magic Dance and Underground are near the top of my most played on iTunes, and rank among (in my opinion) the very best of Bowie's work. That's saying something from one of the greatest rock artists of all time.
The soundtrack is definately the standout part of this classic - if slightly twisted and perverted - '80s fairytale. Apart from Ziggy Stardust himself, obviously.
