Review of The Soloist (2009) by Andrew K — 04 Sep 2010
I was quite disappointed with this movie. Two great actors star in it, and do a great job of acting. It's just the direction of the movie that suffers greatly. The characters and the conflict of the story are presented early, but the plot goes in circles as Robert Downey Jr.
's character keeps trying to help Jamie Foxx over and over again. Jamie Foxx's character has his fits and makes things difficult. I felt that when he was making it difficult for anyone to help him, I was becoming slightly tired that there was no progression in helping Foxx and there wasn't any real closure to the movie, making me wonder, what was the point?
