Review of The Soloist (2009) by Mike N — 29 Sep 2010
A touching tale of an unlikely friendship. To see Ayers' passion for music played out on screen is kind of remarkable. I caught myself several times just listening to the music and wishing that I could really listen to the actual artist.
While the concept of the story seemed rather interesting, as the film played out it became kind of dull. The only thing I could really think about while watching it was how people actually live in the way that this movie portrayed.
.. It's a sad thing to grasp and makes me feel thankful for the things I have.
