Review of The Soldier (1982) by Gordon T — 17 Mar 2011
One may ask why I chose to watch an unknown piece of 80's action junk cinema like this, and my response is that I find some slight value or guilty pleasures out of them. But "Codename: The Soldier" had nothing good at all.
Director James Glickenhaus is known for making low budget action pictures in the 80's, and I've found some of his films to be somewhat interesting in that though they're average that the way he shoots the action scenes in them is unique and cool.
But none of that was here in this film. The story, characters, action=SHIT. Even the music score was terrible! There was a ski chase scene that was slightly impressive, but that's it. Codename: The Soldier is more like Codename: SHIT.
