It's Almodóvar so you can't take your eyes off it, but for me this wasn't up to his usual high standards.
There are massive nods to 'Vertigo' but the plot is a preposterous, psycho-sexual thriller. Although somehow it navigates through all the melodrama to actually reach a satisfying conclusion? And Banderas is an excellent, creepy presence.
