Review of The Skin I Live In (2011) by Amadouiraklidis — 25 Oct 2022
Very good movie, though it slips in deviating from the ending of the book. Too often movies like this take things to the extreme, yet deviate to a politically correct ending, right when the envelope can be pushed in a new, much more interesting and satisfying way.
That aside, and that's the biggest knock on the movie that takes off the points for me, the movie was really well shot, very interesting and enthralling. A movie that builds a lot of satisfactory tension throughout a winding story that keeps you guessing.
