Review of The Skeleton Key (2005) by Louis K — 10 Jul 2009
It comes off as if the writer took a New Orleans Voodoo tour and tried to use the typical information given in these lectures to produce a horror movie that relies on the stuff that just ain't true, while throwing in some intellectual tidbits to make it seem like they know what they are talking about.
I heard so much of the same spiel in the late 90s that I got sick of hearing it. On initial viewing, this movie almost seems unique in some ways as to be unpredictable, but as an after thought, is too similar to so many horror stories that you basically feel duped.
Like falling for the same joke twice.
