Review of The Skeleton Key (2005) by S M — 02 Jun 2010
This is a moody, creepy thriller with some genuinely scary moments. The Skeleton Key may have its flaws, but it also has its charms. A fine cast, a good director, and an atmospheric city almost fight back the bad spirits of a flawed script. "The Skeleton Key" is an excellent Southern-Gothic mystery, compelling all the way through.
RATING: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theater or buy an ex rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own.
