Review of The Sisters Brothers (2018) by Ryan B — 21 Oct 2018
A meandering almost-really-fascinating character study about co-dependence and how greed is the root of all evil. The performances from the four leads are all solid, and the backdrop of an old west on the verge of modernization is compelling.
It manages to subvert a handful of western tropes, but still feels stuck without knowing where it belongs.
