Review of The Silent House (2010) by Marlon A — 26 Mar 2012
This Uruguayan arthouse-horror film, is allegedly filmed in one continuous take. Whether it is or not is hardly the point, but there are certainly no obvious edits or cutaways, which makes it look and feel like you're watching everything happen in real time - allowing the fear and tension to appear very real and unrelenting.
I actually found this film genuinely frightening and unpleasant in places.
