Review of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) by Zachary S — 18 Jan 2016
One of the greatest films ever made. Everything is perfect: the acting, the script, the cinematography, the editing, everything. Jodie Foster will never top her performance in this as far as I'm concerned, and Ted Levine is enthralling and truly horrifying in equal measures as serial killer Buffalo Bill.
But it's Anthony Hopkins, however, who delivers a performance for the ages as Hannibal Lector, and every time he's onscreen it's impossible to take your eyes off him. I can't emphasize this enough: watch this movie.
It's not just highly recommended, it's essential.
