Easily one of the greatest films of modern cinema, The Silence of the Lambs is a strong thriller that is horrifying both in subject matter and in execution, without ever really showing us too much of anything.
Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins are absolutely incredible together and they really bring something special to this film. The soundtrack, by Howard Shore, is also excellently haunting, sounding almost like a fairytale in some aspects.
Controversial, exciting, absolutely terrifying, and rich with topicality, Silence of the Lambs is an absolute classic.
