Review of The Signal (2007) by Jeffery M — 16 Jun 2008
It's a pretty descent horror/thriller for a low budget movie. I liked that its broken into three sigments(stories) or as they call it transmissions. It takes place in a city called Terminus where on New Years Eve everyone gets a ominus signal (in their TVs and Radios) were it disrupts the neurotransmitters in their brain and make them violent and hallucinate.
I must say this film is pretty original. The cinematography is not that bad either. They really focused the storyline about the signal and it's characters. It's basically love triangle story within a horror/drama/dark comedy movie. The acting wasn't bad either. They were great at emoting anger. The special effects were decent for being horrorish. You know lots of blood and gore. It really was the icing on the cake for this movie.
