Review of The Signal (2007) by Devon W — 18 Jun 2008

All media begins transferring a deadly crazy inducing signal that causes most everyone to go batshit crazy and kill eachother.

Nice change of pace for the horror fans. When it was doing it's horror thing, it was brutal and shocking. When it was joking, it was drop dead hilarious. Unfortunately I didn't dig the constant switching back and forth between the two, as it kept making me have to get back into the movie. After seeing the brilliantly filmed car ride from hell, this director is on his way to big things if he can keep capturing moments like that. Still, asides from the constant switching genres, the ending left a little (read a lot) to be desired. But for the pretty good acting and story alone it's worth a watch.
