A lot of high points in the movie: good tension, likeable characters, interesting concept (though not entirely original). Really liked the POV scenes of the Crazies. It shows how they can think that killing someone makes perfect sense, and is even necessary, which you don't often see in zombie-type films, though this isn't a zombie movie.

It's not 28 Days Later where people are zombie-like killers with one thing on their shattered mind (blood). These are people who have been driven crazy but still have a conscious mind. Their reasoning and logic is just out of whack.

The downsides: rediculous opening sequence that has nothing to do with the movie, and is actually an excerpt of a short film. Why it's included here makes little sense. Other than that, I can't actually think of any other major problems, but for some reason, the movie never WOWED me.

This was definitely a movie that could have benefitted from some more gore, though the gory scenes are messy, there really aren't that many of them. Also, and I'm sure budget-limits are to blame, it's supposed to be the end of civilization, everyone's lost their minds, but no one's around wreaking havoc in the streets? A decent watch that I would recommend.

Better than most zombie movies, better than 28 Weeks Later, about on-par with 28 Days Later.
