If I were to rate only the first third of the movie, I would give it almost a five. The directors cut the movie into thirds and each directed one, and the second third was way too coy and tried to be funny in a way that didn't work for me at all.
The first third was appropriately haunting and devastating. The last third was fine, but the middle had kinda ruined it for me.
