Review of The Signal (2007) by Ef S — 15 Sep 2008
Definitely a unique film, you can feel the good vibes of the plot trying to win out over being predictable and the 2 out of 3 parts (all of which are intertwined but from different characters points of view) mesh well except for the last half of the third segment.
The movie is broken up into three parts. I'm not a stickler for sci-fi, I prefer my heavy gore reality based! It would have been cooler to have the film take place in a real city but thats a pretty stupid point, just a little fact that I didn't like about it, instead it takes place in the good ol' community of terminus!?
Some offbeat black humor and a good dose of the ol' grue and you got yourself a good watch, it kept me entertained except for the last half of the final segment like I mentioned before, mumbo jumbo bullshit and the ending was foolish, trying to be too deep for its own good, if I want deep I'll watch David Lynch thank you!
