Review of The Signal (2007) by Bradford D — 02 Apr 2011
It starts out with an interesting, if not original, premise that our beloved technology is sending out signals that unbalance our behavior and perceptions. It's sufficiently spooky in the vein of "28 Days" before you start getting jumped by zombies.
Then the next director takes over and it limps through a weak homage to Raimi's "Evil Dead" humor. The last director takes the tone of "Altered States" meets "Sleepless in Seattle".
If this sounds interesting then I must not be expressing myself well because the abrupt changes in tone and story were just too jarring for me to enjoy this flick.
