Review of The Signal (2007) by Jordan J — 17 Dec 2011

This quickly became one of my all-time favorite movies. The actors do their damndest, seamlessly, to make the characters inviting and realistic. While the undertones work to make the viewer question the roles of some aspects of society and social connectedness, it's done in a classy and inoffensive light that takes the sting out of some realizations you may discover about yourself.

Though this movie is surprisingly low-budget, it roles like one of the big names. And speaking of "big names", I'd like to close by reiterating my love for these actors: no Hollywood big shots could've done this better.

This carefully selected troupe were seemingly born to play these roles. In all, I give this film and its wonderfully portrayed characters a 10/10. Make it your mission to feast your eyes on it; I doubt you'll be disappointed.
