I prefer the remake. Nora Ephron's writing was much better and the cast was much better as well. However, this movie isn't bad at all. In fact, I loved it. There are many scenes with similar dialogue which I enjoyed and a lot of comedy so it was actually a pretty good film.
I'd like to see more movies from this time period.
