Review of The Shop Around the Corner (1940) by Brian W — 18 Dec 2011
Pleasant little movie starring Jimmy Stewart as a mid-level manager at a Budapest high fashion store in pre-World War I Hungary. He is lonely and begins a pen pal romantic relationship. Little does he know that the woman he is corresponding with is the very co-worker that is his rival at the store! This is a film of miscommunication and the audience being in the joke while the characters suffer.
Good flick.
