Review of The Shootist (1976) by Jordan C — 25 Jan 2009
I probably enjoyed watching John Wayne act in this movie more than any other film in his career. It's not the best film he was ever in, but it was his best acting performance. Very subtle and nuanced (for the Duke anyways) and made especially bittersweet for the viewer knowing that it was the last film of his very long & magnificent career.
