Review of The Shipping News (2001) by Ross M — 29 Dec 2005

I rather like this movie because I can find it all too easy to empathise with Spacey's character. He sleeps through life until he is awoken by love. He falls for ENTIRELY the WRONG woman but hey! He's awake now! She consequently dies but his life has meaning now.

A happy ending always helps. If you don't like movies where 'not much happens' then don't watch this. Otherwise you should enjoy this, if 'enjoy' is the appropriate word for it!
