Review of The Shipping News (2001) by Lechi L — 11 Feb 2010

I love Lasse Hallstrom movies, and this is a good one. The characters are really interesting, and watching them grow throughout the movie is really nice, but one of the best things about this movie is the scenery.

The rocky coast are just stunning, and a beautiful backdrop to this interesting and bittersweet tale. Also the acting from Kevin Spacey, Judi Dench and crew is really good as well. This is one that can be watched again and again.
