Kubrick really nails this ball out the park! The Shining is an excellent horror movie that is completely filled with tension. From the moment it begins, Jack seems to be on edge about something, but slowly we see how serious of a threat he is becoming to Danny and Wendy.
With eery shots of blood flowing out of elevators and a guy in a bear suit doing god-knows what, this movie definitely delivers! Jack Nicholson is absolute gold in this movie and delivers one of the best on-screen performances ever! That's saying a whole lot!
