With brilliant direction from Stanley Kubrick, and a terrifying performance from Jack Nicholson, The Shining is a disturbing and bizarre entry into the horror genre. It includes many disturbing themes and set pieces that all are sewed together with a brilliant plot and setting.
It's a very eerie yet excellent picture.
