Quite possibly the best horror movie ever made. It's so well put together that it's hard to find fault in it. Jack Nicholson plays the role perfectly. It's very eerie and atmospheric which is great for building tension. The scene with the twin girls asking Danny to come and play with them sticks in your mind forever. No modern day horror has managed to deliver the same punch as this film.
I've recently re watched this film and a thing that amazes me is how timeless it is. If you watch most horrors from that time they often look cheesy and often not scary. This film is still stylish and very chilling.
