Review of The Shining (1980) by Joey W — 10 Jun 2016
The shining, I don't give a flying hello what Stephen king had to say about his adaptation of this film. To be honest I really think Stanley Kubrick's the shining is much better than Stephen King novel. Don't give me wrong I love Stephen King, but do I want more scary yes I would love more scary do I rather see croquet bar instead of an ax, Hell yes. Jack Nicholson really good prove that he can work a Stanley Kubrick film. Everyone keeps saying that Jack Nicholson was too much into the process of this film but I believe it was really well intended because it's been six months that he hasn't had a drink nor that he was sane at the beginning and then became Insein at the end. This is a perfect Halloween film or in any day film because of his rich cinematography rich storyline won the most hunting acting I have ever seen witness in cinema history. Just to be honest I think Stephen King should have his head out of his ass and enjoy what Stanley Kubrick brought to his book. One of the best horror films of all time definitely.
Grade.
A perfect 10.
