Review of The Shining (1980) by Yasemin Y — 15 Jun 2017
This film is a Modern Horror Masterpiece of the 1980s. It has all the right elements to make a great horror film. It has the magnificent casting of Jack Nicholson as Jack, the man who goes insane in result of isolation. It has the great score. The score makes the film more intense. The cinematography is great. Stanley Kubrick's perfect shot method really shows in this film. The film is beautifully directed. The shot in the cellar looking up at Jack is my favorite shot in the film. Overall this film is an amazing horror film. One of the greatest horror films of all time. If you haven't seen this film. Definitely check it out.
